What areas do you service? At this time we are only accepting new clients from the north end of Melbourne (north of Eau Gallie Blvd.) including Suntree, Baytree and Viera ... to the north Cocoa area. Where is my cat groomed? Your cat is groomed in the comfort of your home. All the necessary tools, including a sturdy grooming table, are brought in to your home. A bathroom or utility room is ideal because kitty can get down and take a break, if necessary, without running throughout the house. Bathing, if required, is done in the kitchen or utility sink. My cat is an indoor cat…why does it need to be groomed? Professional grooming can take the F-U-R off your FURniture. Indoor cats are exposed to drying heat during the winter months and the dehumidifying effects of air conditioning during the summer. Combine this with static electricity from the carpet and other fabrics and your indoor kitty’s coat can quickly become a mess. Does my shorthair cat need grooming? Longhair cats shed and get matted because a lot of the old fur doesn’t fall out and reach the ground. Shorthair cats shed and it ends up all over your house. Regular grooming sessions will cut down on the amount of hair in your home, and more importantly, the amount of hair your cat ingests during their grooming process. Swallowing hair can form hairballs that are a nuisance for you and can be dangerous to your kitty. In extreme cases, hairball impaction needs to be surgically removed. Do all cats need a bath? Some cats never need a bath, a vigorous grooming session to remove loose hair is enough to keep them looking good. Others could be bathed weekly (like the show cats you might have admired) to keep them at their best. Most cats fall somewhere in between … coat texture plays an important part in the decision to bathe.
At the end of a grooming session, all cats receive a spray and rubdown with our own specially-formulated Judi's Brand Gentle Grooming Mist. However, for cooperative cats, a full shampoo, condition and blow dry is available at the owner’s option.
